Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, licensed Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented insurance professional who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional client service.
You will support both new and existing commercial lines clients while working closely with producers and agency leadership. The right candidate brings strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process new business, renewals, endorsements, and policy changes
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and brokers
- Resolve complex service issues requiring policy interpretation and judgment
- Negotiate with underwriters when appropriate to support client needs
- Assist with claims and billing issue resolution
- Maintain compliance with agency standards and carrier guidelines
- Coordinate and participate in client meetings as needed
- Issue and manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
- Provide timely, accurate responses to client and internal inquiries
Qualifications
- Active Property & Casualty License (required)
- Minimum 2+ years of commercial lines experience preferred
- Experience working within an Agency Management System (AMS)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Ability to understand and explain policy forms and coverages
